Mr. Byrne’s Good Luck
Teacher’s Pet, Book 2
Amie Barnes
Luck of The Irish. At the exclusive private school where I teach, it's not just a phrase, it's a challenge the students push on each other the week of St. Patrick's Day to see if they can outdo each other with pranks. Last year, a kid almost blew up my chemistry lab, so this year, I'm the only one with a key. That's not true of my office though, so when I find a pair of green panties in my desk drawer, I have to know who left them there. There's only one student who tempts me enough to even consider confronting about it, but it can't be her. She's a strait-laced, strait-A student. But when she turns pink and can't meet my gaze in class, I start to wonder. The thought of having her panties drives me crazy, but crazy enough to say something?
